Life Size Kitchens is a South African kitchen design, manufacturing and installation business. For purposes of the Protection of Personal Information Act 4 of 2013 (POPIA), Life Size Kitchens is the responsible party for personal information processed through this website and its project-enquiry activities.

2. Information we collect
We may collect information that you provide directly, including your name, telephone number, email address, project location, property or room information, plans, measurements, photographs, preferred timing, budget indications and the content of your enquiry. If you become a client, we may also process quotation, contract, invoicing, delivery, installation, warranty and customer-service records.
The website may automatically record limited technical information such as your IP address, browser type, device information, referring page, pages visited, approximate location derived from an IP address, and essential WordPress security or session cookies. Additional analytics or advertising cookies will only be used if they are enabled on the site and handled through an appropriate consent mechanism where required.
3. Why we use personal information
We process personal information to respond to enquiries; arrange consultations; understand and plan a kitchen project; prepare designs, quotations and contracts; manufacture, deliver and install products; provide after-sales and warranty support; maintain business and accounting records; secure and improve the website; comply with legal obligations; and communicate relevant service information. Marketing communications will be sent only where permitted, and you may opt out at any time.
4. Lawful processing and minimisation
We process information only where there is a lawful and reasonable purpose, including taking steps at your request before entering into a contract, performing a contract, complying with law, protecting legitimate business interests, or acting with your consent where consent is required. We aim to collect only the information reasonably necessary for the relevant purpose.
5. Sharing information
Information may be shared with employees, designers, installers, manufacturers, suppliers, delivery providers, professional advisers, IT and hosting providers, website or analytics providers, payment or accounting service providers, and public authorities where reasonably necessary. These recipients may process information only for an authorised purpose and must apply appropriate confidentiality and security measures.

7. Retention
We retain personal information only for as long as reasonably required for the purpose for which it was collected, to complete a project, honour guarantees, resolve disputes, maintain legitimate business records, and comply with tax, accounting, consumer-protection and other legal requirements. Information that is no longer required will be securely deleted, destroyed or de-identified where reasonably practicable.
8. Security and incidents
We use reasonable technical and organisational safeguards designed to protect personal information against loss, misuse, unauthorised access, alteration or destruction. No online system is completely secure. If a security compromise involving personal information occurs, we will take the steps required by applicable law, including notification to the Information Regulator and affected people where required.
9. Your rights
Subject to applicable law, you may ask whether we hold personal information about you; request access to or correction of that information; object to certain processing; ask for deletion where retention is no longer lawful or necessary; withdraw consent where processing depends on consent; and lodge a complaint with the Information Regulator. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request.
10. Children
This website and our kitchen-design services are not directed at children. Please do not submit a child’s personal information unless it is reasonably necessary for a project and you have lawful authority to provide it.
11. Website information and third-party links
Website photographs, renders, measurements, materials, pricing indications and descriptions are illustrative unless confirmed in a signed quotation or contract. Final specifications, guarantees, timelines and responsibilities are governed by the applicable written agreement. We are not responsible for the privacy or content practices of third-party websites linked from this site.
12. Access to information
Requests for access to records may also be governed by the Promotion of Access to Information Act 2 of 2000 (PAIA). A separate PAIA manual containing the prescribed company and Information Officer details should be maintained and made publicly available where required.
13. Changes to this notice
We may update this notice when our services, technology or legal obligations change. The latest version will be published on this page with its effective date.
